Too Much

Today is my grandfather's 75th birthday. The birthday that the doctors have been saying he wouldn't reach. They have been saying that for four months. Well, as of 3:43am he is still alive. Honestly everyone is confused as to how the hell he is still here. Apparently even the doctors don't understand. And if doctors don't understand how, there is no way we'll be able to.

Aside from that this week has been extremely stressful. Master and I are of course worried about our mutt. We won't have any sort of update until Friday. It's now Tuesday. I wish we could have answers now, but if we took him in before Friday we wouldn't be able to receive a full update as he wouldn't have had enough time on the medication. If it was possible and made sense I would move the appointment up, but it doesn't so we wait.

We have been giving him his medication as directed. The antibiotics are are real big pain to get done since it has to go in his eye and is an ointment rather than eye drops. But we do the best we can and honestly the dog is getting a little better about it. I can't blame him for being a pain when it's time to do it though. I can barely handle putting eye drops in my own eyes on the few occasions when I've had to. I know I'd be much worse about an ointment.

He is still eating, drinking, and using the bathroom normally. He still wants pets and cuddle time. He is still sleeping quite a bit but that is to be expected. His eye is still cloudy but at this point I don't know if it's 100% because of the scratch, if it's part of the healing process, or if it's because of the ointment as it is rather thick. Like I said, we won't have any answers until Friday.

He was really, really good about me putting on the new "cone of shame" last night. He still bumps into things and what not but that's to be expected. I can't say I would be too graceful with a cone around my head. But it is necessary. Thankfully he only needs it when he is left alone, which means while we are sleeping. He hasn't been left alone as in both of us left the apartment at the same time. We don't feel comfortable with that. So it only goes on at night while we are both sleeping. However, I have still been sleeping in the living room rather than in bed with Master. It's not because I don't want to be in bed with my Master. I obviously do. I love sleeping next to Him. However, right now I think it is best if I sleep in the living room where the dog is so I can hear what he is doing... just in case. Yes, I am a huge worrier. But I always have been.

Also, the move is this week. We'll be moving either Saturday or Sunday. We haven't completely figured that out because we don't know which day we can get help. Master and I can do a lot of it on our own but there are some key items that He will need help moving. It's not that I won't help Him with them it's just the pure and simple fact that they are too heavy for me to handle. Our original plan was Sunday but today Master said that if we can get the help we need on Saturday He would prefer that day. I'll find out tomorrow whether or not that is feasible.

We are starting to pack a bit more. I got enough boxes and we have two suitcases and three totes. Two of the totes don't have lids but that's not a big deal. We just won't put anything breakable in them. However today (Tuesday) I won't be home most of the day due to my having to handle some things where we will be moving to. Then on Wednesday my father needs Master's help with finally clearing out Grandpa's house. This honestly should have been done months and months ago but hey... There is nothing I could have done to speed it up.

Since I won't be home tomorrow Master will be here with the mutt and on Wednesday He'll be gone and I'll be with the mutt.

*sigh* Isn't this week done yet?

Well Hello There!

Hopefully you have found me by hopping on over from my former blog. All the old posts are here. Well, 99% of them. Some of the stuff from 2007 didn't transfer over because the file was too large. But honestly, you aren't missing much. I didn't post a lot back then, unlike these days where I blog daily.

One thing that I am very happy about regarding the move is that it isn't so... limiting. I actually paid a yearly fee at WordPress in order to do customer CSS and I could not upload templates. I could only use what they had, regardless of the fact that I was in fact paying in order to customize my site. Oh, but now they had these "premium themes" that you could pay an arm and a leg for. *rolls eyes* Along with some other things that have recently come to light, I decided to jump ship over to Blogger. Which, oddly enough, is where my blog started. I honestly forgot why I moved it to WordPress. I would have saved a lot of time, trouble and headaches if I had just kept my tail here.

Since I'm a nerd, one thing that I totally forgot about with Blogger is that you can customize CSS and upload templates that you have downloaded from a different source. How awesome is that? And I don't have to a pay a penny. That is how I got the theme I used over on WordPress. I am still tweaking some things as my blog just moved today, but I'll get there.

I posted over on my WordPress blog one last time so people could find me and not think that I had fallen off the face of the Earth. I have also updated my link on my Twitter account. Please update your bookmarks and/or links on your blogs so that it comes here.

I'm Annoying Myself

Yeah. That's right. I'm annoying my damn self.

You see ever since Master and I started talking about moving when my job moves, I've been excited about it. And when I get excited about a certain subject I start thinking about it. A lot.

I've been thinking about time frames. Like, how far in advance should we move? When should we look at apartments? How much money should we save up to move? Etc and so on.

Then I start wondering about what is going to go wrong. :-| This is the part that sucks. I wonder if we won't be able to find an apartment we like. Or we do find one, but they won't allow our dog. You know, basically what can go wrong with the whole thing. And that is when I start to annoy myself.

I also try not to annoy Master with all these thoughts. Why? Because He's one of those people that takes things as they come. Mean while I am the type of person that tries to think about a year in advance. Bah. That does not mesh well all the time. Because I'll want to talk about the moving and He'll be like, "Baby, it's a ways off. Chill."

And so I attempt to chill. But He does agree that we have to start saving up for it. You know, the security deposit, first month's rent, pet deposit, u-haul.. etc.

Someone asked me why I would move for the job, since there is no guarantee that I'll keep this job. Well, that's simple. We've been wanting to move anyway and there are jobs that I'm sure I could find out there as well.

Enough about that for now.

Yesterday was a bit crazy.

We both went to work and Master did not have a good day at work. He picked me up from work and vented on the way home. From there Master took His shower and sent me on a few errands. After that we went down to my dad's house.

I don't know what it is about that place, but whenever we go down there, we end up staying longer than we realized. We had a good time though. Master and my father get along really well. You would think they were buddies rather than father-in-law and son-in-law.

So we stayed down there until almost 10:30pm. On the way home we went to a resturant and had a really late dinner. When we got home we watched a movie, which I ended up falling asleep during. Not because it was a bad movie, but because I was exhausted.

So we went to bed and passed the hell out.

Today Master was awake before I was, although I didn't exactly sleep in late either. At least it was later than 6:30am. So that works.

What are we doing today? I have no clue. It's been a lazy morning, which isn't a bad thing. I'm sure we'll figure something out to entertain ourselves though.
