Trick 'R Treat

Halloween is right around the corner. There is one movie that Master and I have been looking for. We've actually been looking for it the past few years. It's called Trick 'R Treat. It was released in 2007 and it is awesome. It always seemed to be out of stock or if we did find it, it was Blu-Ray. We don't have a Blu-Ray player and I really don't see the need for one.

My brother has a copy but it is Blu-Ray. He was rubbing it in our faces that he is watching it tonight. Jerk. But then I found out that a store at the local mall might have one in stock. They had it on their website but I don't like buying movies online for some reason. I guess I'm afraid they'll get fucked up during delivery.

I called the store and they do have a copy! YAY!!!! They were closing in about 20 minutes and it takes longer than that to get to that mall. I asked if they could please put a copy aside for me. They said it wouldn't be a problem at all. I gave them my name and they said they would put a copy behind the counter for me. So guess where I'll be tomorrow?

Yep.

The store opens at 11am and I will be there as soon as it does.

Yes, I am that excited about it. It sounds stupid. I know it does. But we have been looking for this movie for so long and finally it is within reach! I'm glad that they agreed to set it aside. Most stores won't.

They are also talking about making a sequel which would be released in 2015 or 2016. I hope they do. I'm sure it would be just as good as the original.

Trick or Treat

I had a lot of fun yesterday. It was awesome! I know it was a day late but helping my dad with his haunted house was a blast like it is every year. We barely got there in time though thanks to traffic. So I basically rushed into the bathroom to change into my costume. I didn't have time for make-up so I stuck with the black eyeliner and dark red lipstick. *shrugs* It worked. My "job" at my dad's haunted house isn't really to scare people. My job is basically to make sure the kids and adults don't go into parts of the house they aren't supposed to go in. My dad blocks those areas off with props but that doesn't mean people don't try it anyway. Master is the one who gets to scare people. *grins* And He's good at it. This year He was a creepy as hell scarecrow. He is really good at standing or sitting as still as a statue.

So basically He just looked like another decoration. If there were little kids then Master just sat still. He couldn't always see who was coming through so Dad made sure to say, rather loudly, that nothing was going to pop out at them so they wouldn't be too scared to walk through. That was basically my dad's way of letting Master know so He wouldn't suddenly move or stand up.

But if they kids were older or it was an adult, Master would wait until they started to pass Him and then He would slowly turn His head or stand up suddenly. He never tried to grab anyone, just to be on the safe side. But a lot of people didn't even want to walk past Him because they were so creeped out by Him even though, at the time, He was just sitting there like a prop.

It was a blast. We also got some pictures too. There is one picture of us that I love! I'm in my costume and so is Master. He stood behind me and put His hands on my shoulders. I had my arms crossed and it basically ended up looking like I had this 6ft4 creepy as hell scarecrow guard that I would "sick" on people if they pissed me off. He had His mask on to add to the effect. I love that picture.

There were a few key points of last night that stick out in my mind in regards to Master scaring people.

One was when a kid threw a piece of candy at Him to try and prove to people that He wasn't a prop, thinking that He would move. Of course He didn't and my dad told the kid (he was a preteen) to go pick up the candy. The preteen refused. *laughs* So then he got a little closer and the kid said, "He's real. He has to be real." The kid had gotten brave enough to get closer to Master when he said it, so at that moment Master just turned His head and said, "Ya think?" The kid jumped back. It was hilarious.

Another time was when He decided to sit behind the couch like a prop rather than on the bar stool like He had been doing. Again, people didn't want to walk past Him. He sat still. Then, once they had gone through the haunted house and made it to where my dad was about to give them candy He sat up and popped up behind the couch. One of the girls screamed. That was funny.

The best one of the night though...

Well, there is this neighbor that always dresses up as Sting from WCW. And every year he stops at my dad's house to look around. (He's an adult.. probably about my age.) And he always brags about how he's never been scared of anything at my dad's. Ever.

Master was sitting on the bar stool, a little slumped over like He was a stuffed prop, just as He had been most of the night. The dude walks in and comments on how Dad's new stuffed prop looked really cool after my dad had told him that he made a new one this year, referring to Master.

The dude then turns around to talk to my dad, his back to Master. Master turned His head a tiny bit to make sure the guy wasn't looking. This guy couldn't see Him at all because his back was completely to Master and my dad and him were chatting away.

So Master slowly stands up to make sure He didn't make any noise and stands directly behind this guy. Like I said, Master is 6ft4 and this guy was probably about 5ft9 or so. As a result, Master was standing there towering over him. This entire time neither my dad or I reacted. It was just normal conversation. Then my dad makes this head movement to get the guy to turn around. When he does the fist thing he sees is Master's bloodied up jacket. He quickly looks up and sees Master's mask and he jumps back and makes a shocked sound. His eyes got huge and then once he had jumped back a little he started laughing.

It was fucking hilarious. My dad was laughing pretty hard and was so stoked that he had finally been able to scare this guy.

After tricks and treats were done Master and I change into our regular clothes. We sat around and chilled with my dad, my uncle, and one of dad's friends that had come over once tricks and treats were done.

Right before we left my dad wanted to get some video of his haunted house as if the camcorder was someone coming through the haunted house. He wanted to send it to his girlfriend that lives out of state so she could see how everything looked. Master is really good with a camera so Dad wanted Him to handle the camcorder his friend had brought over.

So while they were doing that, Dad's friend, my uncle and I hid in the bedroom so we wouldn't get in the way or ruin the effect since we were already in our normal clothes. Once they were done we all came out and stayed for a little bit longer before saying goodbye and going home.

We both had a great time and look forward to doing it again next year.

Change in Plans

I really hate last minute changes. But sometimes they can't be avoided.

I spent all day today looking forward to tomorrow. Part of the reason is because it's Halloween and I love Halloween. But the other reason is because my dad was having his yearly haunted house and I was leaving early for the day in order to get down there as soon as I could and get into costume. Master could pretty much put on His entire costume except for the mask. Well, the gloves probably too. But anyway... with mine I have to get completely undressed and put my costume. It's a little more involved I guess is the way you would put it. I really wanted to do some really cool make-up this year but I wasn't going to have time.

Well.. that was the plan anyway.

I received a text from my dad while I was at work asking me to call him when I got home. That didn't sound good. I knew it wasn't too important other wise he wouldn't be waiting until after I got out of work.

I had a couple of stops I had to make before I actually got home. It had been a long fucking day. It was foggy all day which just left me feeling blah and kind of tired. Not as in I wanted to go to sleep but tired as in I didn't feel like I had a whole hell of a lot of energy. I was also sore as hell. Well, I still am really but that's really no surprise.

I'll admit I was cranky by the time I got out of work. And each of the two stops I made seemed to take forever. They weren't that bad really but it felt like it. Finally I got home. The mutt met me at the door like he always does but he also immediately got in my way and didn't want to move. I wasn't so nice when I told him to get out of the way. I had a bit of snark in my voice. I made my way to the kitchen and put the stuff I had in my hands down on the counter. Then as I tried to make my way down to the bedroom so I could get comfortable the mutt got in my way again. And again I kind of snarked at him. But once I got settled I had to call my dad.

Thankfully he picked up right away. I was worried I'd have to leave a voice mail. I asked him what was up and he told me that since it's supposed to rain tomorrow his courtyard had decided to move the trick or treat from tomorrow to Friday. *sigh* Okay.. it'll take a tiny bit of juggling but it isn't that big of a deal. I was a bit irritated about it at first but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that it actually works out better that way.

I mean it sucks that trick or treat is going to be the first day of November. But what are you going to do, ya know? But the bright side is that I don't have to worry about rushing off to get home at a half way decent hour because I have to work the next morning. With it now being on a Friday I don't have to worry about it.

As soon as I got off the phone with him I had to send a text to the passenger in my carpool to let him know that I could take him home tomorrow but not Friday rather than the other way around. After that I called my mom. She had planned on swinging by with my nephews, so I had to tell her. She seemed irritated about it because she had done all the big build up today and now they'll have to learn that it's not until Friday. Hopefully they will still come.

We then finally ate dinner and watched a movie. Immediately after that Master put on His entire costume and had me take pictures from different angles so He knew that it was the way He wanted it. They turned out great and He's very happy with it.

Like I said it sucks it got moved back a day but it also works out better in the way that I can stay later than I had intended to because I don't have anywhere to be the next day.

Kid in a Candy Store

Today was a lot of fun. My dad got up here around 1:30pm. Master met him outside and he came in for a while. We talked and joked around for a while.

I had looked up directions to the Halloween store my dad wanted to go to. We kind of knew where it was because it was on the same street that it was on last year. It's one of those stores that are only open for the season and then shut down. They basically rent out the building for two or three months and then they are gone. I'm really, really glad I looked it up. It was on the same street yes.. but it was on the other side of town. Like I said I'm really glad I double checked. But one of the great things was it was only 10 minutes from our place. Last year it was about a half hour away. Another thing I got from going on their website was a 20% off one time coupon. I don't have a printer so I called. She told me that if I have a smart phone (which I do) I could just pull it up on that and show it to them at the register. Rock on.

So anyway, back to what I was saying.. My dad was here for maybe a half hour before we headed out. You could tell the minute he sat down that he was excited about going. They don't have this particular chain of Halloween stores down by him. And he was looking for one item in particular and the ones down by him didn't have them.

He didn't want to be rude though so he sat and talked. I was excited about going too though. We took his car. Like I said it was only 10 minutes from the house so we found it rather easily. The store was a lot bigger than I thought it would be.

The minute we walked in Master kind of took off. Not in a bad way. He was like a kid in a candy store too. He wanted to go look at masks. I stayed with my dad. I wanted to take my time and see all the things they had. Eventually we caught up with Master and He was looking at masks.

His original idea was to by Michael Myers for Halloween. But when He saw the masks they had He wasn't very impressed. He showed them to me and I had to agree. They weren't very well done. So He had to find something else. He found two scarecrow type masks. They both looked pretty damn cool and He was having a hard time deciding on which one. I was leaning more towards the second one but admittedly the first one was also cool.

Finally I just suggested that He try both of them on and look in a mirror they had set up. So He put on the first one and looked. While He was doing that I held the other one in my hand just in case. He said He liked it but felt that it didn't cover enough of the neck. So He tried on the second one and that was it. He immediately loved it. My dad thought it was pretty damn awesome too.

We must have walked around that store three times. Each time we found something cool as hell. It was like none of us wanted to leave. We were in there for a little over a hour.

I found a couple of things I wanted but they were all necklaces that I can't wear because of my damn nickel allergy. *sigh* Oh well.

Thankfully my dad found what he was looking for and also found some other things that he couldn't leave the store without. *laughs* I didn't need anything for my costume. I already have mine. All I will need is some make-up but I didn't need it right then and there and it'll only get cheaper the closer it gets to Halloween so no big deal. Master's mask though it was the last one and we didn't want to take the chance that it wouldn't be there when we came back. So that was a must have. Master even made a wire frame for it out of old wire coat hangers so it wouldn't lose it's shape.

I'm so excited! I can't wait!

October

It's officially October. You know what that means? Only thirty days until Halloween. Ya know, it still seems like it was a much bigger deal when I was a kid. But I still love it. There is just something about it that makes me so excited and happy. I have loved it since I was little. I'm talking like five or six. At least that's the youngest I can remember where I got more excited about picking out my Halloween costume than I did than the candy.

And I still love getting into costume and putting on make-up. I've never liked masks. Mainly because I can never really see out of the eye holes like you're supposed to. Plus, I don't like the way they smell. I would much rather put on make-up.

The past few years I haven't been able to do a lot. This year I want to put more thought into my make-up. I know I can't afford a new costume. But I already have two to choose from. I've worn them every year since I've bought them, but I love them both so why spend money I don't have to?

Master however needs a new costume. So we'll start shopping around for that soon.

We don't decorate here for any holiday. It's just the two of us, the dog, and the rabbits. The dog and rabbits don't give a damn so it makes no sense. No one tricks or treats so we also don't bother getting into costume up here. The only reason we have to put costumes on is when my dad does his haunted house. I'm really looking forward to it.

I don't know exactly when it is. I'm hoping it's not on Halloween itself because it's on a Thursday this year so I'd be at work and wouldn't be able to get down there until about 6:30pm. I'll have to check with Dad the next time I talk to him.

I'm so glad it's October. It's one of my favorite months of the year. It finally starts to smell like fall. The leaves are changing and falling from the trees. It starts to cool off more and more as the month goes on. (Or at least it's supposed to.) All of this leads up to my favorite holiday. How can I not love October?

Had a Great Halloween

I know, I know. I didn't do a post last night. But that was because we had company over.

Master and I were trying to think of something to do that wouldn't cost a lot of money. Or preferably, any money at all. My dad had invited us down but we didn't have the gas money to go down there. (He lives 45 minutes away.)

So Master was on a social network website and noticed that one of our good friends was also bored and looking for something to do. So He told me to call SS.

Thankfully she answered her phone and said that she would love to come over and visit with us! Yay! She said she would come over around 7pm. That left us with about 6 hours to kill.

So at one point while Master was playing a video game, I crawled over to Him and started sucking His dick. He put down His game controller, and swept my hair up and wrapped it around His hand. He's thoughtful like that. Apparently it was the kind of blow job that leaves Him trying to focus His eyes and He can't really walk in a straight line for a good half hour after. *giggles*

Once He had recovered, we then went grocery shopping. Yay for getting a weeks worth of groceries for $30. Rock on.

When we got home we started cleaning the apartment. Master was nice enough to clean the bathroom sink and pick up the dog fur that forever is accumulating around the apartment because our dog, Ghost, never stops shedding. Meanwhile I did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen counter.

Then we basically just relaxed until SS came over. Once she got here we just sat around the apartment talking. She then mentioned that she was hungry. I said I could toss a frozen pizza in, but she didn't really feel like pizza. She then offered to treat us out to dinner, which was very sweet of her. I think we must have asked her like five times if she was sure. She assured us that it's something she wanted to do, because we had treated her out last time. So we all went to dinner and had a blast.

When we got back to the apartment, around 10pm or so, we lined up some movies on Netflix. We talked for a bit longer before starting up a movie I hadn't seen since I was in Jr. High (or middle school as it's called now).

The very first Faces of Death movie from 1978. Oh man. There was some gross shit in that movie. And it was a lot longer than I remembered.

So after that one was done we watched a movie none of us had seen before called Death of a Ghost Hunter. The description made it seem like it was going to suck, but we decided to give it a try. Um. Yeah. Can we say fucked up? It wasn't scary in the traditional sense of horror movies. It was more of a creep factor. Like the kind of thing that makes you want to shake yourself because you think something is either on you, or touching you. I really liked it.

By the time that movie was over it was 2am. So I went around the apartment changing all the clocks back one hour. So then it was 1am, once again. (Gotta love daylight savings time.)

We sat around talking about all sorts of things until the clock read 3am. At that point SS decided it was time to go home. She said if she had any nightmares she was going to call me. *laughs* No phone calls, so apparently she was to tired to have a nightmare by the time she got home.

Master still seems amazed at how well SS and I get along. She's a great friend and is a lot of fun to hang out with. We said we'd have to get together more often. :-)

Shortly after she left Master decided that He was ready to pass out as well. So we went to the bedroom, curled up, and drifted off to sleep.

Today I have to get new directions for us to go to the unemployment hearing tomorrow. The original directions I had will no longer work because one of the off ramps is going to be closed tomorrow. Those bastards.

Other than that? Not a lot going on. But I'm having a great weekend! Even though I started my period and my lower back is killing me.
