Milestone

Yesterday was our anniversary. Unfortunately it wasn't eventful. There really wasn't anything we could do. We had things we wanted to do... but they just weren't feasible. *sad face* I mean it's our anniversary, it's not like we have to do anything. Anniversaries aren't about presents and all that. Hell, I didn't even want and/or expect a present. All I wanted was to be able to celebrate in some way.

But... we couldn't. Due to my being unemployed things are tight. Extremely tight. And as a result there wasn't anything we could really do to celebrate. So it was spent like any other day.

Am I mad? No.

Am I frustrated? Yes.

Am I disappointed? Yes.

Do I blame Him or myself? No.

I think I am more frustrated just by the simple fact that in the beginning of February I had requested three days off from work around our anniversary so we could celebrate. And I specifically planned it for a time when we would have a little money to celebrate with. Obviously those plans were made before I was fired. And once I was fired those plans were shot.

We have been together for eleven years now, seven of which we have been married. We decided to get married on our "normal" anniversary just to keep things nice and simple. Master made a photo album on the social media site we are on. Basically it is a collection of select photographs of us over the years. It was really sweet of Him and it was fun to look through.

I guess I'm just a bit down about the fact that there wasn't anything special I could do for Him. We didn't have the money for any kind of date night. We didn't have the money for anything to make the day at least a little special.

I'm not going to say this anniversary sucked. It is still a milestone in our marriage/relationship. So it can't suck. I will say that it sucked that we couldn't make it special and had to basically do what we do every day. Usually when things are tight I can pull something out of my ass and make it work, but with my not having a normal paycheck it's impossible. There was no robbing Peter to pay Paul this time.

Regardless, I am thankful that we have reached this milestone together. I know we have many more ahead of us. And I will be doing everything I can to make sure that next year we actually get to celebrate it.

Decade

Today is our anniversary. We got married on our "regular" anniversary. We have officially been together for 10 years and married for 6 of them.

I had to work today which sucked. It also sucks that tonight I'm rather groggy and tired due to sinus medication.

But the important thing is that it is our anniversary. We aren't really doing anything tonight. But it's part of the reason why I took off of work next Friday, to try and make up for the fact that I had to work today.

It's hard to believe that an entire decade has passed since we first started this path of ours. In a way I sit there and think that there is no way an entire decade has passed. On the other hand it feels like we've known one another a lot longer than that.

We talked about our wedding day on and off through out the day. We both remember it vividly. I also vividly remember the first time I saw Him.

Time has not diminished either of those very important memories.

I have spent 10 years as His girl and about 9 1/2 years as His slave. (We started the dynamic rather quickly after we met but I'm not entirely sure when that was so I kind of round it up.)

I have spent 6 years as His wife. I have had His last name for 6 years. That very thought alone brings a smile to my face.

One thing I know for sure is that we have many, many more years together and I look forward to each and every one of them.

And Many More To Come

Today is our anniversary! We've officially been together for nine years and married for five. Wow.

Oddly enough in a way it feels like we've been together longer, simply because of how we are with one another. On the other hand it's like, "Already?!" But I'm sure a lot of people feel that way about their relationships. Well, unless it's one of those why aren't you dead yet relationships.

It really sucked that I had to work today. But I just have to get through one more work day and then I get a three day weekend with my Hubby. I'm really happy about that.

Since it's our anniversary our wedding day has been replaying itself in my head. Over and over again. To be perfectly honest this morning, before I went to work I played our song quietly on the computer so I wouldn't wake Him.

So, I figured since the day keeps going through my head I figure I'll just post about the highlights of the day.

I remember when the alarm went off and we were both about to get out of bed He rolled over, kissed me and said happy anniversary. That was so sweet and put an instant smile on my face, not that I needed that because I was already really excited the minute the alarm went off.

We got dressed and waited for some friends to come over. They were meeting us at our place and then we were going out to breakfast. So we ate and then went to another friends house to meet up with them and then drive to the courthouse downtown.

The whole getting the marriage license and all that seems like a blur. I remember waiting to be called into the room and Master was sitting on a bench and I was buzzing all over the place because I couldn't sit still.

We got married and the justice of the peace was fucking hilarious. He was a perfect fit for us and our mood that day. We made it through the vows and I didn't cry although I answered "I do" like two sentences early and then said it again when it was actually the right time. I could see the giant smile on His face and the sparkle in His eyes.

After that we all decided to meet up at a bar before heading down to the reception hall. We had made those plans a couple of days before so I knew exactly where it was and what store we would be passing on the way there. Master had a video game that He was extremely excited about pre-ordered and the release date was our wedding day. He didn't know that I had put the receipt that we needed to pick up the game in my purse. Like I said, I knew we were going to pass the store. He hadn't brought up the game at all and had actually made a point a week before to tell me that He wasn't picking it up until we got home from the honeymoon.

Well, as we came up on the store I told Him to stop at Game Stop. He looked at me like I had lost my mind. I pulled the receipt out and told Him we were going to pick up His game. He was very surprised and elated.

Since we had made that pit stop everyone else had gotten to the bar before us. When we arrived they asked what had taken so long and Master told them what I had done. The females in attendance looked at me like I was nuts and His best man said, "You have the coolest wife ever!"

A couple drinks later and we headed down to the reception hall. A lot went on and very quickly once people started showing up. Although I clearly remember my grandfather being the first to call me Mrs. (out last name). I couldn't stop smiling the entire night.

We had dinner and then put some mixed cds that we had made in a boombox for music. We danced to our song and then we sat around for a while mingling with people before we had our cake. Thankfully Master did not smash any in my face.

It was wonderful. That day is one of the brightest moments in my life. And here it is, five years later and so many more to look forward to.

Catch Up

Last night I couldn't access my blog. Well, that's not entirely true. I could read my blog but I couldn't post because I couldn't log in. Eventually it was fixed, but by the time I noticed it Master told me not to worry about it.

So here I am playing catch up, and I feel like I don't have a lot to talk about. That also is not entirely true. On our anniversary (Monday) Master and I retired to the bedroom and had some really awesome anniversary sex. I had asked Him to go down on me and He did. I swear it was the best licking I've ever had. It was like everything He was doing was pure magic. I had to keep telling myself not to cum just so it wouldn't stop. It's not that just because I get off Master stops, it's just that by the time I am coming down from my orgasm my clit is overly sensitive and I wince at each light brushing.

Eventually I couldn't hold back anymore. I got off, and I got off hard. Then it was Master's turn to have His way with me. The sex was also amazing. It lasted a long time and again every movement was just... perfect. I don't know how else to describe it. It was just one of those nights where everything was clicking.

When we were done Master kissed my forehead and told me to curl up and get some sleep. He decided to stay up a little while longer. So I got comfortable in our bed and was soon fast asleep. It wasn't one of those nights where I gradually relaxed and fell asleep. It was one of those nights where the moment I was comfortable I was out like a light.

So while we didn't do much for our anniversary, it was still really nice. We did our own things while still talking, we watched some Netflix together, we joked around and just enjoyed the evening. And then of course there is the sex I talked about earlier in the post.

We don't need a lot of big hoopla to have a nice anniversary. We just needed each other.

Presents!!!!

Okay so the new purse that I ordered was shipped today. It should be here by this upcoming Monday. Yay!

I had a really hard day at work, and when I got home I told Master about it and before I sat down He pointed to the floor in front of Him, after I had taken off my jacket.

So I set my soda down and knelt in front of Him. He told me, as an anniversary present, that I could go online and order some outfits. He gave me a price ceiling (excluding shipping) and I was so happy! I gave Him a big hug and a kiss.

We ate dinner and I browsed online looking for stuff I wanted. I found some things but basically with the price cap I was given, I was only going to be able to get like two things. That would have sucked. So I looked at different websites and eventually gave up and went and took my bath.

But I hadn't given up for long! Once my bath was done and He told me I could relax I was right back to Google looking for different places. Finally I found a website and I got about seven items and was still under the price cap! Rock on!

It'll take a little while to get here, and it won't be here for our anniversary this Sunday but that's okay.

I know we could have gone to the local porn stores and gotten lingerie there but after a while, since they don't seem to change their stock out very much, Master and I end up going "We already have that, that's almost exactly like the other thing, that's ugly, etc."

Online is the best way to go, in my opinion, when buying lingerie.

I'm trying to convince Master to allow me to pay for our dinner on Sunday. He may or may not. We shall see.

Lazy Anniversary

And it's not over yet! Today has been absolutely wonderful. Truly.

Today is the anniversary of us being together for 6 years, and married for 2 years. It seems like just yesterday we were in the court house getting married, and then heading to the bar with our friends before our reception (but stopping at the game store to pick up a video game on the way to the bar). *smiles*

Master unfortunately could not sleep past 8am. His body had decided that it was time to get up, but He allowed me to sleep until about 10:30am. He then decided to wake me up by keeping me on my side and using me for His pleasure. *sighs happily*

From there we got ready for the day, and relaxed in the living room for a while. We both started to get hungry, so we decided we would start our lazy day of just bumming around. We went to a book store first, where Master found two new books for His collection of the Necroscope series. We then went to a fast food restaurant to grab a quick bite to eat. After we were done with our lunch we then went to the mall where we first met each other face to face. Master wanted me to pick out some clothing, but He also wanted to just relax and enjoy walking around the mall. He allowed me to drag Him into several stores. While at the mall I picked up this really cute purple and blue summer dress, a red and black tank top, and a mini dress that is um.. not suitable to wear outdoors. ;-) Indoor "activities" only. And a stuffed animal that is a frog. I named her Lilith. She rocks. (Yes, I name my stuffed animals.)

From the mall we went to a pet store and picked up some rabbit litter. We then decided to go home. We relaxed for a little while and tried to decide if we wanted to go to a movie today or not. We decided that if anything we would go tomorrow, if we still felt like it.

So then we tried to decide what movie we wanted to watch at home. Well, we couldn't think of anything so Master decided that instead of doing our other shopping tomorrow, we would just to go a store an get everything now, including new movies. So I put on my new summer dress and we headed out the door. I love it! It is so soft, and flowy! We went to dinner first at the restaurant where we took our friends right before we all headed to the court house to get married, only two short years ago.

At the store I picked up some new bras (during which Master disappeared into the electronics department) and another summer dress. This one is brown. Again, I love it. It's so pretty. Master actually picked that one out as we were walking past.

We picked up a bunch of movies. One was "Nanny Diaries". We just got done watching that one, and it was more of a chick flick than a comedy, like we originally thought. But we picked it up for only $5, so whatever. We also got "There's Something About Mary", "Dodgeball", and the three "American Pie" movies. Master also picked up the latest Disturbed CD, and allowed me to pick out a new mouse and keyboard for the computer. Our mouse was slowly dying, and I just simply wanted a new keyboard because when you typed on the old one, it basically sounded like you were typing on a typewriter. It was loud. This one is one of those curved keyboards, and while it is going to take a while to get used to typing on it, I love it.

Now we are home and are enjoying the movies. We are taking a short break in between movies so I can hop on here and do a quick post.

Master, today has been absolutely wonderful. You know that I love nothing more than just being able to spend the whole day with you. And I love bumming around and not really having any plans in mind. Thank you for today. It means the world to me.

You are the love of my life, my mate.

Husband, it has been 6 years, and they have been the best years of my life. I look forward to so many more with You. I know that we have our ups and downs, but we always work through the low points as quickly as possible. And the ups? Well, they reach the sky don't they? My love for You is never ending. You have supported me and pushed me when I didn't think a goal was reachable. You have always stayed by my side, and I hope that I have returned that in kind to You. Thank You for choosing me for Your mate. Thank You for deciding to put up with me for the rest of your life. ;-) I love You Master.

Personal Holiday

There are holidays through out the year that I personally don't give a shit about. Mainly, Hallmark holidays. At least that is what Master and I call them. Sweetest Day, Valentine's Day, things of that nature.

However, there is one day out of the year that I cherish very much and of course no one else but Master and myself give a shit about really. And that is getting closer. It is our anniversary.

I always joke with Master (and other people) that we got married on our anniversary so Master wouldn't have to try and remember yet another day in the year. In all honesty we both wanted to get married on our anniversary because well, it seemed romantic to us and the number of years we were together on that date held spiritual significance for us. We met 03/21/03. We were married 03/21/07. So we were married on our 4 year anniversary.

My ticker for not being punished has passed the 6 month mark. That is seriously the longest time I have ever gone without some form of a punishment. And remember my bet with myself? I had been wondering if I could make it to our anniversary without being punished. Well, as of this posting that's only another month, two weeks, and three days away. Like I said it is getting closer.

So what's up with the blog post title right? Well, it seems acceptable and understandable if someone wants Valentine's Day off or something along those lines. It seems to be expected that you would want to spend time with your significant other on that date.

Well, in November of last year my job made the 2009 vacation schedule available so you could plan ahead. So I immediately put in a request for our anniversary off. (Okay I admit it, since it is on a Saturday I would also get a three day weekend out of it. But that's not that point.) It was denied because someone else had already scheduled that day off.

No biggie. I knew exactly who that person was after looking at the schedule and asked her if she wouldn't mind letting me take that day. She asked me why and I explained that it is our anniversary of being together for 6 years and having been married for 2 of that. She said no, that she was going to keep that day off. I asked why she had scheduled it off, and she said because she just felt like taking it off. Yeah. Thanks. *sigh*

Yes, Saturdays are the days that I only work until the middle of the afternoon. And there is no guarantee that Master would have that day off as well, but it's possible. He might be able to talk to His boss about it, who knows. I've been looking for people to trade shifts with. I found one today but I don't know if I can take her shift because of the whole "only one car" situation, and having to be at the office before the sun comes up if I were to work her shift.

Many people have already told me, "It's not that big of a deal. You can always celebrate that night or the next day." And of course they are right. We could.

But I would just really love to be able to spend the entire day with my Husband. I really, really would. I had to work our one year wedding anniversary (He had that day off of work). Is it so much to ask? And honestly it is the one day out of the year, above any other holiday that I just feel this need to be with Him. It marks the first day we met, and it marks the day we added being Husband and wife to the list of things that we are to one another. On the whole "level of importance" ruler, it rates way above my birthday or any mushy holiday on the calendar.

I talked to Master about it tonight before He left for work and He said He didn't really know since He can never plan ahead due to His job being emergency response. So He doesn't know if I'd be able to have the car for the day when I would trade shifts with my coworker. And I seriously doubt our friend B wants to try and get me to work that damn early. And even if he could, how would I get home if Master isn't able to come pick me up? Yeah. It's fubarred.

Ah well. One of these years we'll both be able to schedule said day off, maybe even that entire weekend, and then go back to Sybaris which is where we spent our honeymoon. Our own personal little time capsule. Happy thoughts.
