I have a big heart when it comes to animals. I feel bad every time I see one without a home. This is why we adopt our animals. I prefer to save one basically. Yes, dogs born from breeders need homes too. But there are a lot of people who want pure bred dogs and are willing to pay for it. Not everyone wants a mutt. Me? I love mutts. As does Master.
This is why I cannot go into an animal shelter unless I'm there looking to adopt an animal. I would walk out with one or at the very least feel horrible leaving without one.
The other day my cousin contacted me via text. I haven't talked to this girl in years. Anyway, her and her husband are looking to re-home one of their dogs. What amazes me is they literally got her five months ago. I told her that unfortunately we don't have the room or finances for another dog right now, other wise I would love to. It was hard saying no, but I know we have limitations and if you cannot care for the animal properly, you don't get the animal. That's all there is to it.
Although, since they had the dog such a short period of time I did ask why they were looking for a new home for her. Apparently she is currently pregnant with child number three. They didn't know this when they adopted this dog. This dog isn't even a year yet. She won't be a year old until October. So, since she still has a lot of puppy in her and she is a high energy dog, they know that they can't take care of her and a newborn at the same time.
I'm glad that they are being responsible about it though. I wished her luck in finding a good home for the pup, but that was all I could do.
We have been watching that Dog Whisperer show again. I love that show. But I get a little jealous whenever you see his pack of about 30 dogs or so. I would love to be able to have a large pack of dogs like that. Don't get me wrong, I love our dog very, very much. But it would be nice to have more dogs for us to love and care for and for him to be friends with.
My journey through life, love, submission, & pain. Mature & graphic content.

Another Goodbye
Today started as any normal Sunday would. Master and I sat in the living room, drinking coffee and waking up a bit more. Master went to go take His shower and on His way to the bathroom He opened up the second bedroom door. The room that we call the bunny room. Every night after we feed them and say goodnight we close the door. Then every day we open it in the morning.
It was different today. He opened the door and I heard Him walk into the room, just as He always does to say good morning. I was literally about to ask Him how they were all doing when I heard Him say, "Hun!"
Our eldest rabbit passed away last night. He walked out into the hallway, where I met Him, and we held each other. He was crying. I had just started to but didn't fully until we held hands and went back to see him.
That's when I fully broke down. I was bawling. I know some people are probably thinking, "It's just a rabbit."
None of our animals are "just pets". They are members of our family and we love all of them. When one of them passes away, a family member has passed away.
Master and I said our goodbyes and pet him for a little while before proceeding with burying him.
We said our goodbyes once more before going back inside.
We have both been in a daze since then. He was very old for a rabbit, honestly. He was 11 years old. That is well beyond a rabbit's life expectancy. And we knew it was coming. We knew he was old. But even when you know it's coming, it doesn't cushion the blow of when it actually happens. We had gotten him very early in our relationship and he was already a year when we got him.
I am grateful that he went peacefully in his sleep. We know it was in his sleep and without pain just by how he was laying when we found him this morning. I am very, very grateful for that. I'm also grateful that we both said goodnight last night. Normally just one of us does. One of us takes out the dog and the other feeds and says goodnight to the rabbits. Well, last night after I came in from taking out the dog Master had just gotten back there so I went in and said goodnight too.
We will miss him as we miss all of our pets who have passed away. He will always have a place in our hearts and we will always love and miss him greatly.

Spoiled Mutt
Master accuses me of spoiling our dog. He's four years old now. We got him when he was 1. And I'll admit that when we first came home I went completely overboard. However, I did that because I had no idea what he would like. So I came home with like eight different toys, five different kinds of treats, and of course the necessities. Dog bowl, new collar, etc.
Since then we have of course learned what the pup likes. He's our 80lbs lap dog. If he can try to find a way to curl up on you somehow, trust me he'll do it. Granted he'll be crushing you a little bit while he does it, but hey... that's what happens when large dogs think they are small.
Anyway, I had some errands to run today. One of them was running to the pet store in order to get new litter for our three rabbits.
While I was there I browsed a bit but didn't see anything else we needed. We get the bunny food from another store and the pup already had treats. So I went to the check out line. While I am standing there they have those impulse buy items. The line was a little long so I look a little bit. I normally don't do that. But for whatever reason I did.
That's when I saw it.
I kind of have matching accessories for our dog. He is black, white and caramel brown. The caramel brown is mainly just small highlights here and there.
So, his leash is black. And his harness and collar are black with small white jolly rogers all over them. I think it looks fucking awesome!
So what do I see today? A dog tag that has a jolly roger on it. It is one of those dog tags where you pay for it and then go to a little machine in the store to get it engraved right then and there. The dog tag he currently had is a blue bone. I decided to go ahead and get the jolly roger one.
I checked out and then went over to the little machine. Once that was done I left and went home.
After I got settled I showed Master the new tag. He rolled His eyes at me and kind of smirked. It's not that He doesn't like it. He just commented on how I spoil the mutt and that there was nothing wrong with his current tag. He knows exactly what I bought it. Because I thought it was awesome. So He put it on the pup's collar.
He then said that I should gotten him a new collar too because the jolly rogers on his collar are wearing off. So a little later in the afternoon we took the pup and went down to the store. Unfortunately they didn't have it in his size. So instead we bought a new leash. Since spring is coming up we decided to change his current leash to the one he is tethered with outside and buy a new one for walks and going outside.
At least it wasn't a wasted trip. After we got home I decided to "fix" the tags a bit. I wanted them in a different order and all on one ring instead of two. Yes, I know I'm weird. But hey, the dog is styling so what do I care? *laughs*
At least I get him interesting stuff that is practical. A dog tag, a leash, a harness, things of that nature. I don't buy little doggy clothes or anything like that. He does have two bandanas but Master wanted them. We do plan on getting him a backpack for this summer. One that can go under his harness. But that will be practical too. He can wear it when we take walks and carry bottled water in it. It'll give him more exercise and make him feel like he has a "job" while we walk him.

Appointment for the Pup
It's about that time of year again. Our dog recently turned four years old and we got his yearly check up reminder in the mail today. However, along with that reminder it informed us that the vet we have been taking him to has changed owners. Apparently one of the vets is still there but the other one has left. And we're not sure if the one that stayed is the one we really liked. Such things always make me a little leery. I don't like the idea of new doctors or new vets. After all, our dog is a part of our family and so his health is very important to me as is the way he is treated by his vet. I like a vet with a good bedside manner so to speak. I don't like cold doctors and I don't like cold vets. They may be just as good at their jobs but it their bedside manner comes off as uncaring. I don't like that at all.
And with that vet you can make an appointment but you can't dictate which vet you want. It's a very small vet office and so you take whichever vet is there and available. After all it's just the two.
I called down there today to check on prices. Since they changed owners I wanted to see if their prices had changed. And sure as shit they did. It went up.
I talked with Master about it and He said to call around to check on prices at other vets. After all it might as well be like if the vet were new anyway. With new owners in place, who knows what else they changed with their prices.
So I called around. And honestly it seems that the vet we are currently going to is the cheapest. I called Master back and told Him. He said to just go ahead and make the appointment then. So I did. It's for the middle of April. The pup isn't due for anything until April anyway.
I just really hope two things. I hope that the vet we liked stayed. And I hope whoever the new owner is they pretty much keep things how they were.
So in about a month the pup will be getting his distemper shot, a heart worm test, and a physical exam. Thankfully he doesn't need his rabies shot for another year. I made sure I had the day off of work for the vet appointment. I know Master can handle it but I prefer being there, especially since I want to know how the vet office works now and make sure it's still the kind of vet we want to go to.
I trust Master with those things completely. I don't need to be there. The pup's health is as important to Him as it is to me. But I just want to see it and experience it for myself. Also, since we'll both be there we can talk about it afterward without my having to as 101 questions.

Post About Our Dog
I figured I'd be as up front as possible in the blog title.
Today our pup had to have his yearly check up. We've had him officially a year. It's amazing that it's been that long. When we first got him he was 1 year old and weighed 65 lbs. He was still growing at that point. (Maybe he still is. I'm not sure.)
Now he's 2 years old and he went to the vet to get a once over. They drew blood to make sure he doesn't have heart worms, got a physical, got his distemper shot and his 3 year rabies shot.
We have to wait for his blood work to come back but other than that he has a clean bill of health! Yay! And I'm 99.9% sure his blood work will come back fine. I'm leaving the 0.01% the hell alone just so I don't jinx the dog.
Well they weighed him today as well, as part of his physical. When Master told me how much he weighed I was floored. Seriously. Our dog weighs 72.5 lbs. 72.5! That is not a typo!
I only outweigh the dog by about 37lbs. It's a good thing he listens to me other wise I'd be dragged around whenever I took him outside.
Apparently the vet isn't sure what he's mixed with. They are seeing the traits of the breeds we think he is but they aren't sure what else he would be mixed with. Now that's a mutt. When you confuse your vet, you have a mutt on your hands. So Master and I are very happy that we have a healthy puppy. Although he's not a puppy anymore. That's okay, we still call him a puppy. He'll always be a puppy.

Radar Day
Today was one of what we call "Radar Days". Radar is our 18 month old Blue Tick Coonhound/Australian Cattle Dog mix. And at least once a month we decide (out of no where usually) that it's a Radar Day. It's a day where we focus pretty much the entire day around the pup.
Master and I are huge animal advocates and so when we have the opportunity to spoil our pup just a little bit more, we do. Today we took him to two different pet stores, so he got some car rides out of the mix as well. At one store he got a new chew bone. He had pretty much chewed the other one down to half it's size already, so it was starting to become unsafe. Time to replace it. We normally have to buy him a new bone about once every few months. Thankfully they are rather inexpensive, and for how much he enjoys them we can't really complain.
He got to meet a few dogs, and did a lot of barking. He's normally a very quiet dog, but when he sees other dogs he gets so excited and wants to play, so he barks his fool head off. We're still working on his manners, but he's come a long way. He had no training when we first got him except he knew "sit", kind of.
So he's doing quite well, and we're both very proud of him. Right now Master is teaching him "paw". It's "shake" just with a different trigger word. We want to teach him this because it'll give him something to do when he meets new people rather than just jumping on them. Yeah. He's a jumper. But we've been doing everything we can to make him sit before we allow other people to pet him. He's going with that pretty well, but I think learning "paw" will help him even more to learn that jumping on people is not acceptable behavior unless they ask for a hug.
When we got home he took a nap, and then he watched Rescue Ink on Netflix with us. We all love the show, including Radar. Then Master worked with him a bit on his training, and now he's back to napping.
I think he's a very happy boy.

Bumming Around Kind Of Day
I got up a little before 10 am today, which kind of surprised me since I had my alarm set for 10am. It's rare for me to get up before the alarm goes off to be perfectly honest.
So I got up, got dressed, took the dog out and then headed to the gas station. I figured Master would be awake before I got back so I got Him a pack of cigarettes and a sandwich, came back to the apartment, dropped those off, left Him a note and then headed back out.
I had to renew my vehicle registration, and of course those bastards only take cash or check, so first I had to stop at the ATM. Due to construction what should have been a 15 minute drive turned into a half hour to get to the emission test station. Thankfully I got there early enough that the line wasn't that bad, and within five minutes my car was being tested. It passed, and I pulled around to the office so I could go inside and get my stupid $75 sticker that goes on the back license plate. Well it was supposed to be $75. But apparently they charge a $10 over the counter fee. *grumbles* So I paid $85, and just can't wait to do it all over again next year. *rolls eyes*
I got back home around 11:30am and Master was amazingly still sleep. Honestly I was a bit shocked by that. Unless we're both sleeping in really late, He's normally up at a rather early hour, even on the weekends. That is, unless He's sick.
So I got undressed, climbed into bed next to Him and nuzzled and kissed Him awake. He was surprised by the hour at well, and seems to be feeling fine.
He took His shower and then gathered His clothes up so I could do His laundry. I talked to my mother for a little while, and I told her I was proud of her since she laid into my 25 yo baby brother because he's acting like a complete asshole while she's supporting his ass. I wanted to applaud her. She doesn't want me or my Husband to lay into him because she thinks it'll just cause more problems for her, although we have both been chomping at the bit for that.
So I was glad that she finally did it.
Then Master and I decided to alleviate our boredom by turning today into a Radar day! Radar is our dog. Here are some pictures of him, because I'm not sure if I ever posted one on here or not:

He's our pup, and we love him.
So we took him to two different pet stores so he could socialize for a while. He got to meet two different dogs. One he seemed to really like, it was a very young.. I'd say about three months old... Great Dane puppy. Absolutely fucking adorable!
While at that pet store we got him some wheat free treats, and a new water bowl. He had two medium size ones in the kitchen, but he only ever drank out of the one (I have no idea why) and lately we've been filling the other one about three or four times a day. So instead of two, one of which he wouldn't drink out of, we decided to get him a huge one. Seriously. It's enormous.
He will only eat if he can see us, so we have a food bowl attached to his crate, which we keep in the living room. That way (since we're almost always in the living room if we're awake) he can see us and feel comfortable enough to eat. That bowl was a good size, and didn't need to be replaced.
Then we went to the second pet store, and he got more treats and a treat dispensing toy. He met a very large 9 month mastiff mix. This dog is going to grow up to be a horse.
Radar wasn't too sure about this dog, but they played for a little bit (while on leashes, obviously) and when Master said it was time to go Radar started barking at the mastiff mix, as if to say, "Come over here and play more! My Dad is dragging me away from my fun!"
We all headed home shortly after that. Master and I went out to dinner, and when we came back we gave Radar his new treat dispensing toy. Guess how long it lasted before he tore a piece off? Yeah. 10 minutes, if that.
So I threw it out. He enjoyed it for a little while and looked at me as I threw it away like, "But Mom! That's my toy!" Poor pup.
Thankfully he likes his new water bowl. His old ones were thrown out.
Master and I have been enjoying our evening together, and I'm so glad that we got out the house with the puppy. I think it helped Master too, since He's been feeling cooped up lately.

Busy Sunday
Today was busy, kind of. I mean, I think we got quite a bit accomplished, but it still didn't take up a lot of time. Which I am not complaining about.
We ended up having to go to four different stores today just to get everything the animals needed. Radar came with us, and got to go into two of the four stores. No we did not leave Radar alone in the car. Fuck that! It's fucking hot outside.
I went into the first store and Master and Radar stayed in the air conditioned car while I got the rabbits their food and litter for their cages. It's the only store where we can get both of these things, in the brands we use, at the same time.
Then we go to the usual place that we get Radar's food as he was completely out. Again Master and Radar stayed in the car, while I ran in. No such luck. They were out and wouldn't get a new delivery until Tuesday. Well, our dog has to eat before Tuesday! So I asked her if she knew of another store that sold this particular brand of dog food. He has a wheat allergy, and a somewhat sensitive stomach so I didn't want to get him a different brand, and the kind he's on isn't sold nationally, so a lot of the major pet stores don't sell it.
She did have a suggestion for a store she thought sold it. So off we went! Thankfully Radar was allowed to come into the store with us. And also, they had his food in a 40lbs bag! Yay!
Then after that we went to yet another pet store, and got him some new toys and treats. He is such a mentally active dog that we have to keep a fresh stock of toys around, and keep swapping them out other wise he gets very bored, and very hyper. Even with lots of exercise.
Finally our shopping adventure was done. We went home and Radar had a blast with his new toys.
Master and I relaxed for a little while, and just enjoyed the afternoon. After dinner I took pictures of my new purse and wallet. They aren't the best pictures in the world, cause I'm no photographer, but hey...
[gallery link="file" columns="2" orderby="ID"]
Too cute right? *beams* I love them! The purse isn't a suitcase, but still has plenty of room. Unlike my first purse which was about the same size but basically couldn't hold a lot, and my second purse which was a suitcase. So I threw out the first purse (it was old anyway) and the second one I'm trying to sell.
And I love the wallet. It matches the purse, and also is a lot more compact then my old one. To the point that I could actually put it in my back pocket (if my pants have them) if I don't need my purse.
Then about an hour ago my mother called. It was time to put on my tech support hat again. Poor Mom got virused, and virused hard. I couldn't really walk her through anything over the phone since she has no techie bone in her entire body, and neither does anyone else in that house.
It was getting late, for her, so she said we'd try again tomorrow after I got home from work. Either I would call her as soon as I got home to try and walk her through it. Or I may end up having to go down there. It's a 45 minute drive, but my mom has done a lot in the past to help us, and a little tech support from her daughter is a small price to pay for that. My mom is pretty cool. I don't agree with everything she does, especially regarding my brother, but I love her and she's good to me and my Husband. So I'll help her out.

I Love Having Fridays Off
I really, really do. I wish that I could do it more often! I didn't sleep in much though. Normally on a work day I get up somewhere between 5:30 and 6:10am. It mainly depends on if the dog lets me sleep until my alarm goes off, which is at 6:10am, or if he decides he has to pee before that.
But since Master didn't have to go to work until 9am, and I had the day off, we didn't get up until 7:30am. The dog actually let us sleep that late! I was a bit surprised to be honest with you. But since the lines are always so long at our local gas station before 10am, and we really needed gas in the car, I got up with Master when His alarm went off. While He was getting ready for work I hopped in the car, went down to the gas station, put gas in the car and picked up a few other things that we needed.
Master then headed off to work. I thought about trying to go back to sleep, but apparently my body decided that I should be awake. I didn't even bother to lay back down. I knew I wasn't going back to sleep.
So I spent some quality time with the Radar puppy. Him and I don't get a lot of just me and him time. So I enjoyed that quite a bit. :-) It was a special treat for both of us. We played fetch and I got some new pictures of him using Master's fancy digital camera. Then Radar decided it was nap time.
So I cleaned up my corner in the bedroom and paid our monthly bills. Then I talked to my mom for a little while. After that I started watching the 1st season of The Tudors on Netflix again. I love The Tudors. Master I think is a little burnt out on it, but I can't get enough of it. So I watched a couple of episodes and then decided I should stop being lazy.
I then tackled the kitchen counter. It is usually a catch all for things when we get home. It becomes cluttered pretty quickly. So I put everything away, cleaned the counter, did the dishes, cleaned the sink and then reorganized the counter.
Much to my pleasant surprise Master came home just as I was finishing up with the sink. They had been let out early today as their trainer was called out to a job site.
So I finished what I was doing and relaxed with Him. We then took Radar to a local pet store and picked up a harness for him. He has scared us a good three times by pulling a Houdini trick and getting out of his collar. This is regardless of the fact that his collar is snug and we can't pull it over his head. *shrugs* No idea how he does it, but we didn't want it happening anymore. There is no way for a dog to get out of a harness short of chewing through it. So we decided to get that. We found one with Jolly Roger on it, just like his collar, and they also had a matching leash! I was grinning from ear to ear when we bought it. He looks slick!
We went home and Master and Radar stayed at home while I ran to a different store and picked up a few more things that we needed. We have more errands to run tomorrow, but that's okay. It'll give us something to do. :-)
It's been a great Friday! I hope the rest of the weekend is the same.

Productive Sunday
Last night I had fallen asleep on the couch. All that fresh air and walking around had finally caught up with me. Master woke me up and we went to the bedroom where we curled up and He allowed me to fall back asleep.
We got up this morning around 11am. We went into the living room and Master and I woke up a bit. But the next thing I knew Master had me walk over to Him. I gave Him a hug and then He led me to the bedroom by the neck, where He proceeded to wake me up by fucking me. :-D I love His methods. ;-)
Today has been a great day. Do you ever have one of those days (or weekends in this case) where you feel elated, and can't get enough time with your significant other? It's been that way for me this weekend with my Husband. I mean, I always miss Him when I'm at work, and I always love Him. But sometimes, there are days where it just seems like everything is flowing right and Him and I are on the exact same frequency and everything is just.... wonderful.
I love days like that.
Even though it is Sunday, we were pretty productive today. We took Radar to one of our favorite pet stores. Since we've gotten Radar we haven't had to brush or bathe him. But now that he is starting to shed his undercoat, we decided it was time.
Radar had a blast remarking the car windows Master had just cleaned on Friday. *giggles*
We got a new dog brush, some dog shampoo, and then some wheat free dog treats.
Once we got back home we gave Radar his first bath. We weren't sure how he would react. Some dogs are good about it and others freak out. Master turned on the shower and picked up Radar and put him in the tub. All Radar did was give us this sad puppy dog look the entire time. But he stayed put and let Master move him how He needed him. He was such a good boy! I'm very proud of him.
Soon he was clean. I brought Master the collar and leash. Then I moved the couch and opened up our sliding glass doors so He could take Radar outside immediatley.
Radar shook off twice before we got him outside. *laughs* Once he was out there we brushed him out.
He seemed to enjoy the brushing at least.
Now that he's dry and was pampered with extra cuddles and pets, he is an extremely happy pup. I don't think he really minded the bath, honestly. He likes water, at least when it's raining and what not. But I just don't think he liked the tub since he couldn't really get a grip on it when his feet.
Now he's super soft, and his coat is very shiny. He's a happy clean pup. :-)
Tomorrow it's back to the hum drum work week. Joy.
I talked to my mom today. She had to put her dog to sleep. :-( I told her how sorry I was that she had to do that. He was about 12 years old. I hope that he is at peace now, and that he is happy running in a field with all the pups who have came before him.
Unfortunately, my mother talked to her landlord, and her landlord said she can't get another dog until my brother moves out. My brother has my nephews over for a good 8 - 9 hours a day about four days a week. So her landlord feels there are already enough people in the house, and doesn't want my mother adding a dog to it. Um, hello bitch! They had a dog there this entire time, but now because it's not that particular dog, it's not okay? Fuck you lady.
In all honesty I wish my brother would get off his ass and get a fucking job, save up some money, and get the fuck out. He's 25 for crying out loud. I'm 27 and I have to figure out a way to keep on my own. But for some reason he thinks he shouldn't have to. He is enrolled in college, but doesn't start until the fall. And even then, he should be working. I was going to college a while back and I was still living with Master, on our own, and we had to figure things out. It wasn't always easy. Hell, it's still not always easy.
But since I moved out on my own at the ripe old age of 18 I have never moved back in with either of my parents. I have made it work.
I know my mother would take me in if I had no where to go. I know that for a fact. But I would be doing everything I could to get back up on my feet again and get out of her house. Why my brother thinks he's so damn special I don't know. My brother has been living with my mom for 5 months now, since his now ex-girlfriend kicked him out because "he wasn't doing anything with his life". He had no job, and wasn't going to college.
I get that. But then the only reason he enrolled with college was in hopes to get his ex back. They have two kids together (my nephews), and I understand that part. But hell.. that's no reason to stay with someone, or try and get them back when they clearly do not want you. Five months should have shown you that. But she sends him mixed signals and wants to hang out with him without their kids around, when she has nothing better to do.
My mom is without a car. My brother has a car, because my mom helped paid for it to be registered in his name. It was his ex girlfriends. And she is paying all of his bills. Her rent went up because the landlord said that 5 months is not considered temporary. My mom had told her landlord my brother would be there until he was up on his feet. Well, he's not up on his feet, obviously, but the landlord feels she's allowed enough time. So she's jacking the rent by $300.
And what does my brother do? Bitch every time my mom asks to borrow the car. Tells her she should get her own. Oh? And how the fuck is she supposed to save up for a car when she's paying all your fucking bills and now has to pay more money in rent because of you jackass. Not only that but she's putting gas in your car and paying your car insurance, and you're going to bitch about her using your car a couple of times a day, even though she makes sure that you don't have anything planned first?
My brother is way to much like my father. I love my father, and I love my brother but they both do things and act in certain ways that really piss me off. My mom isn't perfect and neither am I. But we don't act like that. We aren't ungrateful.
Master says my mom should kick my brother out on her ass. But she won't do it. My brother has medical problems (seizures, among other things) and so she won't do it. But she did tell my brother that if she can't borrow his car, then she's not putting gas in it, she'll drop his car insurance (it's in her name) and she won't pay his bills anymore. She then told him to get out of her face and that she doesn't want to see him the rest of the day.
This fight occurred today, the day after she had to put her dog to sleep.
My mom had me promise not to bring any of this up to my brother. It'll just make him blow up at her more. I told her I wouldn't, but that if he brought it up, I'd give him both barrels. My brother, after fighting with our mom or dad, will sometimes come to me to try and get me on his side.
But that's not happening. So if he does come to me, I'll let him know exactly what I think of what he's doing and how he's acting. I don't want him to get back together with his ex, but at this point I almost wonder if it wouldn't just be easier for everyone involved.
Wow. This turned into one hell of a rant. Sorry about that. My brother just really pissed me off, and he doesn't even know it.
But honestly, aside from my brother, this weekend has been wonderful. I wish it didn't have to end.

I Love Saturdays!
Today we were supposed to go down to my dad's. But I've had a headache since I got up this morning, so eventually I just called and left my dad a voice mail saying that we'd have to reschedule. I honestly felt bad about it, because I haven't seen my dad in a couple of months. But it's better than driving 45 minutes, getting there, the headache turning into a migraine, and having to leave shortly there after. That would have sucked.
I had gotten up at 9am. That kind of surprised me. Normally I sleep later on the weekends. But there I was up and awake. All the animals were still sleeping and Master had gone to bed later than I did last night (and I stayed up until about 2am) so He stayed in bed.
Well, that is until the place He interviewed at last Thursday called! I answered the phone and once I realized who it was, I ran to the bedroom and woke Master. While He was on the phone I grabbed Him a piece of paper and a pen. I'm a damn good secretary damnit! They scheduled a 2nd interview for the actual store that He'd be working at. It's on Monday! So here is hoping that He gets it! That would be awesome!
Master was awake after that. He seems excited, and I'm excited for Him!
But even with the constant pressure headache I've had a pretty good day. Master and I did some minor grocery shopping, picked up something for each of our mothers since we'll be doing the rounds tomorrow, and then spent the rest of the day watching movies and playing with Radar.
Speaking of which, I have new photos of our pup! Yay!
[gallery link="file" columns="2" orderby="ID"]
That last one is a picture I took right before he sneezed. I find it hilarious.
Now Radar is finally tired and Master and I are just relaxing. On top of my headache, which is thankfully starting to get better, my shoulders are hurting. So I'm going to have to find a book to read while I soak in a nice hot bath tonight!

Dog Focused Saturday
Today was mainly about Radar. Nothing wrong with that.
We got up and played with Radar, taking turns playing tug of war with him.
After we had lunch we decided to go out to the pet store, which is one of the ones that you can bring in well behaved and vaccinated dogs. So we brought Radar with us.
Radar has had an upset stomach and very itchy skin since we brought him home. He was on Science Diet from the pound, and we were planning on changing his food anyway. So because of his symptoms I did some research and we both believe that Radar has a wheat allergy.
And even if he doesn't, it's just a filler in dog food anyway, as well as treats. So we are cutting both wheat and corn (another filler) out of his diet just to be on the safe side.
He is now on a wheat and corn free dog food. Which is surprisingly cheaper than the Science Diet.
Since we have decided to cut all wheat and corn out of his diet I had to throw out all the open treat bags that we had for him, because they all contained it. There was still one bag that was not opened, so we went to the pet store to return that as well as his leash. The other night when I was taking Radar outside, we were standing outside our front door and I was putting the key in the door. Two people were walking by and Radar wanted to go say hi. Well of course he couldn't reach. Next thing I know Radar is off the leash and sitting very nicely in front of the people walking down the sidewalk.
I of course freaked. He didn't bolt, he just wanted pets from new friends. I grabbed his collar and walked him inside, holding his leash in my other hand. Master had to calm me down, I was so shaken.
Master inspected the leash and realized that the clip was not closing fully, which is how Radar got off the leash. No way we were keeping that.
The store didn't give us any problems about returning the items. We used the credit at the store to get Radar a new tug of war toy and a bandanna. His bandanna looks so cute on him! It's blue camouflage.
We came home and played with Radar some more. Radar is starting to feel better now that he is on the new food.
We went out to dinner with our friend SS, but her new boyfriend couldn't come. Although it seems like it's getting serious as they are talking about the possibility of marriage already! I'm excited for her.
Now we're home, relaxing and enjoying the rest of our evening.
Feeding Off One Another
Today Master was not in the best of moods. I know He was hoping that the place that He interviewed at twice would have called Him back by now. I did remind Him that they said either the end of this past week or the beginning of this upcoming week.
But I know how He feels. Whenever I interviewed for a job I was on pins and needles waiting to hear back. And I would be irritable until I did hear from them.
The bad thing is that when either Master or myself get into moods like that the other responds in kind. That is until someone breaks the cycle. Sometimes it's me, sometimes it's Him, and sometimes we do it at the same time.
Today was no exception.
He was in a bad mood and eventually I slumped into one as well.
But today was one of those times where we both tried to pull ourselves, as well as each other, out of it at the same time.
I walked up to Him and kissed His forehead, and He cupped my face and kissed me and said He was sorry. He explained that He was just wanting to hear back from that job. I hope He does as well.
It's never easy, especially after two interviews with said company, to wait patiently to know if you got the job or not.
I remember one time I had three interviews with one company, so I figured I was a sure thing by that point, but after a week I still hadn't heard anything back so I eventually called them and I hadn't gotten the job. That pissed me off.
But I hope the results are different for Master. I hope He gets this job. I know just sitting around the apartment and doing errands and what not is driving Him crazy. Especially now that it's slowly but surely getting nicer out.
So here is hoping that this job works out for Him. I hope He gets a call soon!
I know companies are trying to watch out for themselves, but they seriously need to realize how much they are affecting peoples lives when they keep them waiting and wondering.
It also doesn't help that I am waiting on my 1 year review at work. It's been almost a month now, and we could really use the extra money. I know it won't be much but even with a 3% bump it's something.
We're in a bit of a financial crunch right now. And yes, getting Radar set us back more than we first expected. However, having animals around us is something that we just simply can't live without. And Radar needed saving. He needed a good home. And we have given him that. It's not that we can't afford him. We can.
It's just the initial expenses is all. Leash, collar, crate, food and water bowls, first set of vaccinations, etc and so on. We're really fine, it just feels like a bit of a crunch.
Radar is doing well. He just doesn't know a lot of commands right now and he still has separation anxiety. But we're working with him.

Saturday
Master and I slept in a bit this morning, which was nice to do.
After we were more awake than not, we headed out the door. We went out to lunch and then picked up some rabbit food. When we got home we finally cleaned out the closet in the hallway. It didn't take very long, but we still ended up throwing out two bags worth of stuff and a broken vacuum cleaner that we had shoved in there.
Radar and I went for a walk by ourselves today. It's not that Master didn't want to come with us, but He wanted to know how Radar would act on a walk for just me. I took my cell phone in case there were any problems. But Radar behaved exactly as He does on walks that Master goes on. Although there must have been something in the air because Radar wanted to smell everything.
Shortly after we got back Master and I fucked, then ate dinner and watched a movie.
So all and all it hasn't been a bad Saturday. It started off kind of boring, and Master wasn't in the best of moods at first because He had a bad headache, but after we fucked He started to feel better. It's amazing what sex can do to help make you feel better. ;-)
I know my blog entries haven't been that long or in depth lately, but honestly I don't have a lot to say right now either.
My life currently revolves around my Husband, Radar, work, and sleep. So yeah. Not a lot going on, although that's not really a bad thing.
That and the weather has been so up and down lately that I just haven't been feeling like myself the past week or so.
Hopefully tomorrow I can force a longer post out of myself.

Relaxation
Today my total of four hours of work went by rather quickly, which was nice. So before I knew it I was home. Shortly after I walked in the door Master and I headed back out to go to the local treasurer's office. We shelled out the $12 and got Radar his dog license. So we can finally send in that pet agreement to our landlord. The only concern I had was that since Master was the one to take Radar to the vet to get his rabies shot, His name was the only one on the rabies vaccination certificate. And due to that, His name is the only one on the dog license. But Master reminded me that since we are married, and there is an emergency, there shouldn't be a problem if I'm the only one who can respond.
After that we came back home and played with Radar for a while. Due to the ups and downs of the weather neither Master, myself, or Radar is feeling 100% right now. So we're trying to "make" Radar rest. It's not easy.
Master and I went out to dinner and are relaxing currently. As I stated before neither of us are feeling 100%.
Now we're looking into flea and tick preventive medications. I'm trying to find the best deal for Radar. The vet suggest Frontline plus, but I want to make sure that's not just a promotion they get paid to push. So I'm shopping around. Any suggestions?

Puppy Pics
Well before I post the new pics, first let me get my post done. (I know most of you are going to scroll straight to the pics.. lol)
Work dragged today. Again V was not in the office, so I am now two days behind in my work. Monday should prove to be interesting. The odd thing was that after lunch break I was the only person left in my department. Literally.
My supervisor left because it was his half day, my trainer had taken the day off, the other clerk in my department had her half day, and V was out of the office. Fucked up.
The two people in my carpool, MZ and AM, wanted to leave work an hour early. Well, because I was the only one left in my department I couldn't leave early. I had to stay. Plus, I didn't really want to waste an hour of personal time just to get home an hour early for no reason what so ever. Thankfully Master was willing to come pick me up. MZ said she would stay if I didn't have a ride. She's a sweet girl. But honestly I wanted Master to pick me up anyway. More time with Him, ya know?
Much to my surprise though, when I got out of work, and started walking towards our car, Radar popped his head into the front seat! Master had brought him with! It was a really nice surprise.
Radar behaves really well in the car, which is great.
Once we got home we went outside and got some pics of Radar. We had some other pics of him napping that we hadn't transferred to the computer either, so we uploaded those as well.
Here are the puppy pics.
[gallery link="file" orderby="ID"]
As you can see I was the one holding his leash while Master snapped away with the camera. So there you go. Puppy pics. :-)
After that Master and I went out to dinner, came home, and have been relaxing ever since.
Tomorrow Master has a job interview. He wants me to go with Him for moral support and to play navigator. Alarm clocks on the weekends suck, but I'm happy that Master has a job interview. I hope it goes well.

Or Not Quite..
Today when I got to work I noticed that V wasn't at her desk. I then logged onto my computer and noticed that she had called in sick. (They send out an e-mail.) I swore under my breath and then talked to my trainer. She said that she would do my job for today so I wasn't totally swamped tomorrow so I could do V's job.
Sounds good to me. I still wasn't happy because I'm sitting there thinking, "How the fuck does this bitch still have a job?!"
But I knocked out the work.
Master called me later in the afternoon. The vet had called. Radar's fecal test results were in. He has a tape worm. Fuck. So Master ran down to the vet's office.
They gave him the medication. We have to mix it in with his food for three days, and then wait four weeks, and then take another fecal sample in to make sure the infestation is cleared up. They did say that the infestation doesn't seem to be bad at all, and that we most likely caught it rather early. Especially since he is not showing any symptoms. Master had to calm me down once He got back home and called me because I was freaked.
I want Radar to be healthy! But the vet assured Master that Radar was fine, and that as long as we gave him the medication over the next three days he should be right as rain. We trust this vet whole heartedly. So Master started his first treatment as soon as He got home.
I'm glad that vet called us as soon as the results were back. Poor pup.
So I calmed down and finished out my day. About a half hour before I clocked out for the day another e-mail showed up to say that V wouldn't be in tomorrow either.
And my trainer won't be in either. So now I'll be two days behind on my normal work. Yes, my trainer did my job today but she only did a portion of it. She left the "minor" stuff for me to catch up on.
I'm wondering if V will be fired on Monday. If she is, at least I won't have to deal with her anymore. I have a feeling she won't be though. Although something tells me if it were me pulling this shit, I would have been fired a while ago.
Once I got home we ate dinner, I played with Radar for a bit, and then Master and I watched the next disc of Dexter that came in the mail today. We have one more episode left on that one and then we'll mail it in.
We also decided that in the morning I'll be the one taking Radar out before I go to work. So I'm now getting up 20 minutes earlier, but that also gives me some puppy time before work and Master can catch a bit more sleep.
His sinuses have been kicking His tail, and He has insomnia again. So the extra sleep will help with that, I hope.

Clean Bill of Health
Last night Master wasn't tired, so He sent me off to bed while He stayed up.
This morning I got up and got ready for work. I said goodbye to Master and Radar and headed out.
My work day was busy, but again the weather was kind of all over the place so I felt tired most of the day.
Master took Radar to the vet today to get his first out of the pound check-up. He was given a clean bill of health, got his distemper booster, a rabies shot, and a kennel cough vaccine. He doesn't have kennel cough, but since we want to sign him up for training classes the vet thought it would be a good idea. The vet did say that he needs to lose 5 lbs. When Master told me that I was like, "From where?!"
Radar is skinny looking, but apparently the vet says he should be a little bit leaner.
Now that Radar has his rabies vaccination we can get his dog license.
Once I got home from work we ate dinner and we both played with Radar for a while. I took my bath and then hopped online to do this post.
It might snow tonight, which is messed up. It's April for crying out loud! Wisconsin is fucked up sometimes.
One of my friends at work is getting her first tattoo tonight, so since she knows I have 11 she has been talking to me about it non stop for like the past three days. *giggles* It's kinda funny actually. I'm slowly but surely becoming known as the tattoo chick at work, even though I hardly ever have any of mine showing. I'm excited for her. I know she's a bit nervous. She'll probably call me a liar for telling her they don't hurt.
But at least we know that Radar is healthy and now he is fully vaccinated. The only one he didn't get was the one for Lyme disease.
Since we have him on a flea and tick medication I'm not sure if we're going to get that one done. I'll talk to the vet about it soon.
Master is pretty out of it as well today. He didn't sleep well last night, when He finally did sleep. Poor Master.
I don't really have anything else to say tonight. I'm just kind of here right now. I've felt this way since yesterday. I honestly think most of it is due to the weather. Hopefully the weather will make up it's mind soon.

Last Day of Freedom
I had taken today off of work about a month ago. I'm glad that I did, because I got an extra day with Master and with Radar.
The only down side to today was that when I was taking Radar outside to go potty, I tripped (yes I'm a klutz) and skinned my knees. Thankfully Radar stopped immediatley and didn't try to pull or anything. I was impressed.
His tummy is doing better! Yay!
We also went out and bought the largest crate we could find to put Radar in for when we're not home. We put his blanket in there along with a few of his toys. We tested him with it by putting him in it and leaving the apartment, and standing outside for about 10 minutes. Then we came back in. He had been laying down nicely when we walked in and when we let him out we gave him a lot of praise.
We didn't crate train Ghost. Ghost was put in our bedroom with the door shut when we left. But with Radar, we're not sure if he'd try tearing stuff up in there or not. He hasn't destroyed anything since that first night he was here honestly, but we'd rather not take the chance. Plus I think it'll help him with any separation anxiety when we leave. The humane society told us he suffered from that a bit. So when we leave the apartment he'll be put in his crate (it's enormous, Master could easily fit in there and He's 6ft4) and we'll turn on the radio for him. We'll of course start off small, like trips to the gas station and then work our way up from there.
So as with most of this past weekend today was focused on Radar and Master and I just relaxing and enjoying our time together.
At least this week will only be a four day work week. Plus Radar has to get used to me leaving for that long. It's as good a time as any.
Switching back to getting to bed at a half way decent time and getting up before dawn is going to suck.

Relaxing Sunday
Radar decided that Master and I needed to get out of bed around 8:30am. Apparently he has not yet learned that Master and I are not morning people. But that's okay. At least it wasn't a totally ungodly hour like 5am or something.
So we came out into the living room and there was nothing out of place! I was happily surprised. I think the fact that Master and I went through the apartment last night and basically put everything up and/or away also helped. But still.
So we had McDonald's for breakfast today.
And we learned that Radar has very clear signals to let us know that he has to go outside, which is awesome. He goes up to the door, noses the doorknob and then sits.
Unfortunately he has a bit of an upset stomach. I think it's because his tummy isn't used to treats, and we've given him quite a few to be perfectly honest. (Bad mom and dad, I know.) So we're just going to cut those out of his diet for right now to make sure that's it, while his tummy clears up. Then we'll pick one or two brand of treats and stick with them.
Right now we are trying to figure out him, and he's trying to figure out us. So far, so good.
I went down to visit with my mom today. Master stayed at home with Radar. I showed everyone pictures and what not. They all think he's adorable.
When I got home we relaxed and watched Dollhouse on Netflix. We had already finished the Dresden Files.
It seems that Radar's tummy is starting to feel better as the night goes on.
He has his first checkup on Wednesday, which is when he'll be getting his rabies shot so we can get him licensed.
It's been a wonderful day. I've greatly enjoyed it. And I have tomorrow off of work! Yay! It's gonna suck going back to work on Tuesday... *laughs*

*laughs*
